Android phones for everyone

0 kommenttia
Android phone's are great, they're powerful and developer friendly, but it seems like every phone manufacturer is dumping a Android phone on the market. It's pretty hard for a consumer to go and search for the best one, especially since there are constantly new phones coming out. That is why I've decided to handpick a few Android phones from different price ranges, and hopefully help out readers that are out to buy a new phone.

Low-End Android Phones:

ZTE Blade

Price: 99£/117€

ZTE Blade, also known as the Orange San Francisco is a popular cheap Smartphone in Europe. Released late last year, ZTE Blade features a 480x800 multitouch display, 512 mb RAM and runs on the Android 2.1 Operating System.
This phone suffers from low battery life and a small, 150 MB on-board memory card. However, there is a micro SD slot, which supports up to 32 GB memory cards.

A5000

Price: 138,80 $

A5000 is a solid low-end smartphone from China with a Dual SIM card feature. A5000 is a relatively cheap phone, but it's not the most powerful one, as it only has a 416 Mhz processor and a 240x320 resolution Display, which is pretty weak for today's smart phones.

High-end Android Phones:

Samsung Galaxy S 2

Price: 199 $ /w a contract / 499£

Samsung's flagship phone Galaxy S 2 definitely makes the list. This phone is powerful, featuring 1,2 Ghz processor, front and a rear camera, 800x480 resolution display and 16 GB Flash memory. Galaxy S 2 runs on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread Operating System. Downside is that it could use better build quality.

HTC Droid Incredible 2

Price: 80 $ /w a contract

HTC has been making quality Android phones for a while now, but right now their hottest phone is the HTC Droid Incredible 2. Spec wise it's almost as powerful as the Galaxy 2, with a 1 Ghz processor, 800x480 resolution display, 16 GB Flash memory and both a front, and a rear camera. However, it does not support 1080p video capture and it's using the inferior Android 2.2 Operating System, Froyo.

Remove the extra dimension from 3D movies with 2D glasses

I'm kicking off my new tech and gadget based blog with something unusual. With some new movies being only available in 3D, this man decided to create glasses that allow the moviegoer to watch the movie without the headaches and nausea.
Hank Green, the creator of these fantastic goggles, tell the story behind the 2D glasses. "2D glasses allow any Real 3D movie to be viewed as if it is a normal two-dimensional movie. I created them so my wife could come see 3D movies with me without getting a headache. Soon, I realized that we weren't the only people with this problem, so I decided to take them online". These 2D glasses cost $7,99 and they're available on amazon.com

Price: $7,99
